HOW TO SELL ITEMS ON EBAY
62
Selling items on Ebay can be fun and may even land you a nice amount of money along the way. Ebay allows you to sell just about anything accept for maybe a handful of restricted items. The items for sale can be new or used items and the better the description and pictures of the item the better your chances are of making a sell.
If you would like to use Ebay to make money there are several ways to do so but i will tell you about the one that most sellers use to make some extra cash. This way is by selling items around the house that you never or no longer use that others may be interested in. This is where the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" rings very true. Here is a guide to making a few extra dollars.
1. You will need to find things around your house that you no longer want that you would not hesitate to sell in a yard sell such as old stereo equipment, sand and pepper shakers, that old guitar you stopped taking lessons on years ago, or whatever else you may have.
2. Take many pictures of each item and write down descriptions of everything that is right and wrong with the items. Remember the more honest you are the more likely you wll get a good sell especially using the auction format because a person that feel like they are getting exactly what they expect, is going to bid higher for that item.
3. Now you will need to register on Ebay for an Ebay account. This is a fairly simple process all you have to do is follow the instructions. Once you have done that you will need to set up a seller account.

4. Next you will need to register for a Paypal account. Paypal is an Ebay owned company that accepts payments from buyers for sellers and they charge a small fee for every transaction. If you sell on Ebay you must have a Paypal account.
5. After you have your accounts all set up then it's time to list your items that you have for sale. You can list it as buy-it-now with a pre-determined price you would accept or you can do an auction style listing where you start it at a minimum amount and have people bid the item upwards. Now you will add your descriptions and your picture and your shipping cost to get the item to the buyer. I suggest that you sell the item for at least a (7) ay listing.
6. Once the items is listed you can check in on it periodically to see if it has any bids. When the item sell then you can send an invoice through Ebay to the seller from them to make payment for the item including the shipping charge.
7. When payment is received you will be notified by Paypal that the payment was received and you can now ship the item using the shipping methos you specified in your listings.
8. Once the buyer receives the item and is satisfied with the purchase they will leave a positive feedback. And at this time you can leave them positive feedback and enjoy the extra cash you just raked in.
