Average Time To Write A Song

People always as me what is the average time it takes to write a rap song. My reply to them is that it is different for different people. There have been time that I have written rap songs in about 15 minutes and then there are times when it has taken me more than a day to write a rap. The factors behind the various lengths in writing time are many. If I am in the zone then it is very likely that I can write a whole rap song in the 15-20 minutes easy. However if I am stomped for ideas and have writer's block then I can spend a whole day and maybe even the next day working on a particular rap. The thing about raps is that many times they are either written with or without a concept. Sometimes you will end up writing whatever comes to mind and then building off of that. Other times you will have a subject in your mind that you want to rap about and you will tailor your raps to fit that subject matter. I find that the latter is the most difficult of the ways to write your songs because you have to stay on subject and keep the content centered around you topic of choice in order for you listeners to grasp the concept that you are putting forth in you song.

Write A Rap For Me

For many people no matter how hard they try it still proves a difficult task to write their rap song.  For a lot of people they like to write but can't just don't care to write the songs themselves.  In that instance I would find someone to write a rap song for me.  There are probably family members and friends that you know who rap that you can ask for help.  I would suggest you find a rap partner who helps you with writing raps.  The two of you can brainstorm ideas and come up with raps that sound pretty good.  Then you can fine tune you raps by performing them in front of family and friends and get feedback from them on what sounds good from your rap song and what does not.  This is a great way also of practicing performances so that when you are in front of larger crowds you will feel much more comfortable than if you just jumped onstage somewhere.
