FINDING THE BEST IN MATTRESS COMFORT

I recently went shopping for a mattress set with excellent mattress comfort which I have not had to do in quite a long time.  maybe 10 years ago give or take a couple of years.  I went into One of those big retail giants and asked one of the clerks where their matresses were.  The clerk pointed me in the direction of the matresses and I proceeded in that direction.  As I approached the mattress section I noticed that there were about 20 different sets.  Looking at the tags they were all made of different styles and materials but to me a mattress was a mattress.  The last mattress set I bought was a queen size pillow top mattress set and for me that was about as good as it got.  That is until it started to sink down a bit in the middle.

I started walking around looking at the different mattress sets siting all neatly placed and all without bedding on them.  I was a little overwhelmed at how much it would take to make an informed decision so I took out a pen and piece of paper and jotted down the names, some speks, and how the mattress felt when I sat and laid on it.  The Beautyrest mattresses were the first I sat down on and it was nice and firm and very relaxing.  Nothing like my bed at home.  Then I remembered something I saw on tv about some kind of pedic mattress.  So I looked around until I found a tag that said Posturepedic mattress.  I kind of stuck with the king mattress and the queen mattress size beds because the twin mattress and the full mattress was much too small.  The Pedic mattress was a nice mattress as well.  I sat down on it and then the sales associate came over and asked if I had seen the new memory foam mattress.  He said they were the best on the market right now.  I was wondering to myself how a foam mattress could be better than what I had tested so far.  My idea of what foam would feel like to sleep on was what the cushions on my sofa felt like.  Sure the cushions were pretty comfortable but I don't know about sleeping on it. 

So after I noted a few things about the mattress set I went to look at the memory foam mattress.  I sat down on the mattress and it was like sitting on the softest pillow you could buy. I like the memory mattress because it doesn't move the whole bed when you sit, lay or get out of the bed.  But was this a sleep mattress?  I laid down on the mattress to test it out.  To my amazement this was exactly what I needed.  It could get in and out of the bed without disturbing the wife and have a great deal of sleep and comfort. Unlike my mattress set at home which I tried everything I could to get make comfortable including a mattress pad and mattress topper.  I had even slept a couple of nights on an air mattress because my back would hurt so bad some mornings.  So my mind was made up and I chose the Visco mattress.  Visco makes Memory foam and latex mattress sets.  I ended up taking home the king size mattress because the store gave me a deal that made the price the same as the Queen set.  Now I have spent a few days in heaven sleeping on my new mattress set.
