66How To Write Raps
With the ever increasing popularity of rappers such as Drake and Lil Wayne there are many people who look to follow in their footsteps and success. Often times these people are new to the rap industry and have been rapping for a very short time. However there are many who have been trying to rap for a long time. The fact that everyday hundreds of people start to rap for the first time means that there are continually groups of people who want to know how to write raps.
Rap Song
Learning to write raps can be difficult for most people because of the techniques that are used to write a successful rap song. There are things called bars in a rap song that many people get confused about and need help with. For someone who does or has plays an instrument and knows how to read sheet the task of writing raps is not all that difficult. Counting bars is very similar to reading music notes and knowing when and how long to play your instrument.
Rap songs are easier the more that you practice writing them. If you have followed your favorite rapper over the span of their career you will notice certain advances. Many rappers who have been in the game for 10 years or more will more than likely have made at least 4 albums worth of music. By having all of an artists albums you can start listening to them from the first to the last album. Upon doing this you will notice the growth and transition that an artist makes. The artist gets to a point in their career where they find what I like to call "their lane". An artist's lane is where the artist starts to rap in a style that is fits them but is different in many ways than most of the other rappers in the industry. Very often this lane leads to commercial success for the rapper because he is accepted by fans that his style appeals to. Many times being different with how you write raps is what is needed when learning to write them.
